"Mothers have the ability to liberate by love...They are our first teachers. They are our first loves.” - Maya Angelou

Program Description
Motherhood Reclaimed provides judgement-free dignified resources, support, connection, classes, and guidance for mothers with Children’s Division involvement. This program supports mothers as they work toward maintaining or regaining custody of their children.
As we work toward a full launch of the program, we currently offer a weekly support group.

About Us
Motherhood Reclaimed seeks to work with mothers to uncover primary causes of family instability, often rooted in unstable identity and unprocessed trauma. It seeks to provide education and support for healthy relationships and meaningful life engagement, including long-term employment and financial stability. Motherhood Reclaimed seeks to go beyond behavior modification. It attempts to address root issues of trauma and identity to help develop and build a stable foundation for mothers looking for health and long-term engagement with their children. Many of the mothers who have children removed from their care are dealing with substance use and neglect that often accompanies substance use. Many are dealing with poverty and instability. Motherhood Reclaimed uses some of the newest social science research, pointing to the ideas that healthy connection is key to overcoming addictive behaviors and addressing trauma is essential for those who have experienced significant Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
